Rift Town

What Is This?

This is Rift Town, a solo, GM-less, journaling/combat game. In this game, you will chronicle your character’s life as a Hatra-Ghoul Slayer, someone who kills chaotic creatures that have invaded your small U.S. town. You will write down your gameplay as you go, answering questions and fully developing your story. You will also roll on tables with dice to determine different aspects of your town and story.

What Is A Rift Town?

A rift town is a town on a land that is marked by chaotic energy. In fact, the energy is so chaotic, a rift in the space-time continuum opened up there. Creatures crawl out of this scar in reality, or rift. The town is usually hiding dark secrets and has an even darker past that caused the rift to form in the first place. But on the surface it looks like any other small U.S. town with content people, stores, and happy children playing in the streets.

What Do I Need To Play?

In order to play this game, you need:

A set of dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20)

A pencil

A journal or a notebook

This book or PDF

Your imagination
